The developments were based on the «Concept for mass conversion of Russian vehicles to autogas» created by UGazz in the fall of 2018.
The three new scenarios are designed to complement the basic concept by offering the government more flexibility in decision-making and to provide more options to the government agencies.
While the basic concept aimed at offering the Russian government a comprehensive solution for building all infrastructure for the Russian autogas market, Ugazz’s three additional developments are meant to divide this process into three separate stages:
1. Creating a comprehensive infrastructure to make components used in the designing of compressed natural gas (CNG) fuelling stations plus building and operating such stations.
2. Creating a comprehensive infrastructure to quickly produce components used in autogas car conversion kits and building service stations where these can be installed and maintained.
3. Creating manufacturing facilities to produce components used in the designing of CNG fuelling stations and those used in autogas car conversion kits without creating a corresponding commercial infrastructure such as CNG fuelling stations and service stations.
Financial calculations done for the three scenarios show very good return-on-investment rates and high subsequent profitability even after market saturation.
UGazz presented their developments to the Russian Ministry of Energy along with comments and useful information on how to implement each of UGazz’s scenarios following the Russian President’s order № Pr-743 dated May 2018.
